Beta’s striking tools have been designed to provide optimal performance and ensure the operator’s safety. A special type of steel, which contains chrome, molybdenum and vanadium (65CrMoV2-2) is used for production, resulting in remarkably hard and tough tools. The products are made – if so allowed by their geometry – with drawn bars; otherwise, they are hot-forged in a controlled atmosphere, to avoid slag formation.

The centre and pin punches are sharpened after being chrome-plated, to provide improved engraving and cutting performance, and remove the galvanic deposit from the tips. Overdeposits need to be removed, to prevent “rounding” of the corners and brittleness as a result of the amount of hydrogen
