Choke hitch.

The slings can be used also for lifting with choke hitch. In this case chain sling legs are passed through or under the load, and the lower terminal back hooked or reeved onto the (fig. 6). Where choke hitch is employed the working load limit (WLL) of the chain sling should be no more than 80% of that marked. Fig. 6

Loop lifting

Two-, three- and four-leg slings can also be used for loop lifting – the load is wrapped by the chain instead of being attached to the hook (Fig. 7).
